Beverly, MA; January 7, 2014 – Essex Point Properties, LLC, a private real estate investment company focused on acquiring and managing convenience oriented retail properties in eastern Massachusetts and the southeastern United States, announced its purchase of One West Court Square, 180-198 West Ponce de Leon Avenue, Decatur, Georgia, a Class A Community Center. The acquisition, which marks Essex Point Properties’ second purchase in Georgia in the past two years, brings the company’s portfolio to 13 properties, consisting of over 350,000 sf and 125+ residential units throughout eastern Massachusetts, Georgia, and South Carolina. Financing was provided by United Community Bank of Georgia.
The property is a 13,158 square foot retail center in the heart of downtown Decatur. The building is 100% leased to SunTrust, Chipotle, and Cooks Warehouse and Sherlock’s Wine Merchants.
